Welcome to our new discussion forum.  We will be importing and transferring the members from the old avianflutalk.com forum over to this new forum soon.

I hope this forum will find good use to get/form an opinion/view on "events".

Pandemics are NEVER isolated events. What role backgrounds play however should be part of the discussion.

We all have to learn...so "please be kind"!

Hi Josh, I changed the Latest News forum description to also include "Off Topic" news events as you are very good with posting ALL news.

The old AFT forum is at birdflutalk.net. We're working on transferring the member data over from AFT to the new forum at BFT, but it's taking some time.

Glad to you see here!

Best,
A

Albert,

If people try to register on this forum but somehow it does not work-is there an e-mail/contact to report to ?

It would be nice to see a lot of activity/members !

Hi DJ,

Good question!  I will set-up an emergency contact email for the future.

We currently have the forum setup to where guests can post without joining, so that will help for now.

I'll set up and email though shortly as a backup contact plan

Best,
A

At last I'm in and can comment!
It's good to have a new forum, now we just need to get the members back and welcome lots of new ones.

Hi KM ! I hope Pixie also can log in !

Avian Flu Talk once was "vibrant"...enough diseases/background to discuss/try to get a view on !

My basic idea on a forum is people/visitors themselves select the info they want to post/read...

I have outspoken ideas on some issues...for now maybe not "realistic"...but "we" as a world find ourselves in a place we could not even imagine only five years ago...

The world looked that much different summer (north part of the globe) 2019...

Hi there, sorry for the delay!  The previous members have to rejoin again for now, and I'll bump up their statuses once they're back on over here.

DJ- you're right about changing the site theme for other pandemics.  We will go to Pandemic Watch, so we will soon be located at pandemic-watch.com.

Thanks for the suggestion,

Albert

I hope you bring over the archives from the beginning of the forum. So many disease and near misses we tracked, Now with H5n1 making the jumps and mutations those early debates would be informative to some new to the hunt.

Hi Pixie,
I'm glad you're able to log in. I think we've all been reset to new members. It would be good if our previous status was reinstored.
I'm noticing that when I go to reply to a post, no cursor appears in the black box and if I try to type, nothing happens. I've found that if I click on the lines that denote if text is to the left, centre or right, a cursor appears and I can type. I hope that's helpful to anyone else experiencing the same thing.
