Bat sh*t Insane Religious Fanaticism Is A Requirement For US Empire Managers During her Senate confirmation hearing for UN ambassador, Trump nominee Elise Stefanik was asked by Senator Chris Van Hollen if she agreed with Israeli Nazis Itamar Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotritch that Israel has a “Biblical right” to the West Bank. Stefanik said yes. It’s so wild how bat sh*t insane religious delusions are almost a prerequisite for acceptance in the highest echelons of Official Washington. These confirmation hearings are like, “Are you mentally ill enough to do US foreign policy?” “Yes, I have the requisite mental illnesses to do US foreign policy.” “Your brain is a festering stew of psychosis and you have trouble distinguishing fantasy from reality?” “Yes, I promise that is the case.” The world is ruled by religious fanatics with nukes. If a normal person says they’re the second coming of Jesus Christ they get medicated and institutionalized. If you make equally insane religious claims on the Senate floor, they let you run an empire.

DJ, This is NOT meant as a frontal attack on "new Christians"! People -in history-believed all kind of non-sense...I may not be that bright in the view of many...

However the freedom of one is limited when it limits others in their freedom.

You may believe in pink elephants, snowball-gods...whatever...As long as you do not expect me to go there...

Selfreflection is a learningprocess...we all make wrong choices in live and have to learn from it..."walking the labyrinth" - as the human species did for the few million years they walk on this Earth...
-
Following blindly a "man of god" -who-if not a god himself-in direct contact with both god and your money-is dangerous...

The Atlantic article mentioned above has US non-religious population growing from 6% 1991 to 30% most recent numbers...On the other hand quite a lot of "christian groups" radicalized...From believing in prophets, devils to "burning sinners"...

Neo-liberalism did get us back to the 19th century..."new Christians" return to the middle/dark ages...

DJ, On this-once-a forum I tried to understand pandemics-and their link to climate collapse on a background of wars...

Some of the trump supporters are "new Christians"...They may go for pandemics/climate disasters as the punishment of a god...Wars-killing million of Muslims, Orthodox Christians are not only "gods work" but also "gods will"...

My-more "modern" view is WE-as humans-have a major role to play...In controlling diseases, limiting enviromental damage, avoiding wars...

So...why do "new Christians" come to their-so radical-other view ? Are 20-30% of the US population in some sort of "cult" ? Why ? Why the US ?

DJ-We have some "new Christians" in NL-imported from the US...limited...because we love our freedoms...The "cult" does NOT provide answers or solutions...

DJ, If a large group of people believe "disaster" is the "will of a god" (sponsored by a few rich guys like e.musk...)...trump salvator...

We can forget about science...Pandemics, climate collapse, wars...will NOT hurt those "new Christians"...saved either by rapture or another miracle...

DJ, If that kind of groups/cults control the US government-that "government" is supposed to do "the work of god-his sponsor"....Democracy ends...

Believing starts where thinking stops....

“Religion is excellent stuff for keeping common people quiet. Religion is what keeps the poor from murdering the rich.”

― Napoleon Bonaparte

DJ..but it does not stop the poor killing eachother...
