DJ, The US position in West Asia is even more a ????...US backed Kurds in Syria making a "deal" with IS-"government"...with Türkiye a major player in the background-(pro) Turkish forces in parts of Syria...However Túrkiye/erdogan needs Iran and Russia to play a major role in West Asia...

The past several days have seen horrifying sectarian massacres in Syria. Over 1,000 people have been killed, mostly Alawites and some Christians, in Latakia and Tartus. The perpetrators? Sectarian death squads from HTS, led by Syria’s new president, Mohammed al-Jolani—formerly the leader of Al-Qaeda in Syria.

Western media is whitewashing these atrocities, falsely framing them as “revenge” against pro-Assad remnants. DJ, The "west" lied to itself (again) IS-renamed terrorists would "return democracy" /order in Syria...Of course the western made "civil" war did NOT end...

My cynical view; Russia/Iran allowed several "pro-west/western backed" moderate terrorists to fight eachother...Russia pulled out Assad.."let the chaos begin-if you are no longer able to stop it"....

A next step-very likely-"major regional players" may be "asked" to restore order...He ! What a surprise ? Russia/Iran return restoring order on invitation of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iraq...In the "restoring order" operation USrael will be told to leave Syrian soil...

Russia may show a "friendly face" to USrael-however if USrael will not listen Iranian forces may move into the Golan-heights/Lebanon...

The main reason USrael still has netanyahu as P.M. is lack of alternatives...Both in politics-USrael has even more extreme idiots on the right-the "left" is unable to find shared ideas...But also "security" did see the "greater USrael" becoming a national idea...

Iran, Yemen a.o. also want a "One State" solution; Palestine...

Since the "west" is 100% (behind) USrael-the rest sees USrael as a western colony...maybe Russia, China may find a way out ? Both Russia and China have "workable" relations with both USrael and the Arab world...

DJ-Like in UKraine also in West Asia the "west" is the major party keeping the conflict going...Both UKraine and USrael only may survive if they break with their western "sponsors"...

Russia in UKraine is now going for a "military solution"...not excluding talks...Reality in UKraine should "bring the west into reality"...otherwise "reality on the battlefield" may see Russia taking over ALL of UKraine...

USrael urgently needs talks...the present wars did destroy USrael its economy and army...
The only way USrael can continue/escalate major military actions is when the west does the job for USrael...That however would only proof the rest idea of USrael being a western colony...
