   DJ, Still get the impression people try to get on the forum but tech problems in the way...I expect problems to be solved (soon ?) 
-Elections; France extreme right wing did get 33% of the votes.."moderate left" 28, macron 21%...coming sunday-july 7- second round...

UK, july 4 elections...

Both in France and UK the position of PM/President itself -in theory- does not have to end. In practice lack of support may be the end-both for macron and sunak...like scholz in Germany, biden in the US, running out of even basic support...

In August the "democratic party" in Chicago may decide to keep elections for presidential candidates open..-Very likely that would "end" biden...

Linked to "war" the "west" is shaking...

-Pandemics;

-CoViD wave 14 (?) in many places did start...excess deaths will increase...in part however also heatwaves causing increase of deaths...
-H5N1 is spreading in US cattle...several hundreds of farms did see cows/cats die...Human reported/tested infections low...real numbers must be higher...The US very likely not the only country with H5N1 problems
-Mpox may have killed over 1000 people in DRC...very likely limited spread in Central/South(ern) Africa...over 20,000 human cases...droplet or even aerosol spread ? 

-Wars;

The political situation in the west is now that chaotic both zelenski and netanyahu should think twice on pushing for further escalation...Both UKraine and USrael running out of "fighters"...BRICS+ is getting ready for "more coordinated reactions" . Those actions very likely will be OUTSIDE the present war regions...

NATO presence in Syria, Iraq-against international law-will see more attacks...Türkiye in fact may be on the side of Syria, Iraq...against US and UK !

The main front however is "hidden"...BRICS+ defunding the "NATO-west" wars...De-$-ization, economic crisis, inflation on its way...

-Climate, 

Beryl did become a cat-4 hurricane in June...Another record...Chris will not be around very long-most models expect...Debby soon may reach hurricane status...

And that is just one of many regions with climate disasters...heatwaves, 50C+ temperatures...extreme flooding...(Ant)Arctic melt...

DJ-pandemics and climate are linked...The present pandemics are part of the sixth mass extinction...

The total picture is "beyond depressive"...It may be "good" to know your position...but it may be wise to "enjoy what you can en joy"...

Both for climate and pandemics we will see a very large amount of damage...However human history has had a lot of "bad moments"....
