DJ, India-Pakistan did see "tensions" earlier. In 2016 and 2019 India did go for "limited reactions" after terrorism India blamed Pakistan (ISI) for...Pro-portionate reactions meant to end the incident and not create an escalation.
India stopping the 1960 Indus-water agreement-and so supply of water to Pakistan (making it also a war on water) is "new"...Also both India and Pakistan both are SCO members...in practice (via the CPEC;China-Pakistan-Economic Corridor) Pakistan may be seen as a BRICS+ partner... Pakistan is also the eastern start of the Türkiye-Iran-Pakistan link between the EU and China...with the EU restarting talks with China in reaction to trumpf-tariffs-insanity... For that matter creating chaos between India and Pakistan is not only damaging BRICS+/SCO it also is meant (by the US) to hurt both Iran and the EU...
