DJ, To decrease US inflation trump wanted the US central bank to decrease interest. Only he does not run the central bank...Foreign investors (a.o. Japan) pull away investments from the US. To finance US spending-more and more on interest over its insane level of debts- the US NEEDS foreign finance...

But the trade war trumpf started did destabilize the global market. The US still is a major player-but the trade wars is further speeding up de-$-ization and lots of countries want a partner they can trust..

The US made deals to break deals...The Obama-Iran deal now again is on the table because trumpf ended it...For UKraine the US comes up with old/insane ideas...The US is NOT seen as a "neutral dealmaker"-in general most of the world blames the US for starting yet again another war...

UKraine followed Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Libya, Yugoslavia, Georgia etc. WHY NATO needs to move east ? Most of the world does see that as a major unwelcome risk...Yet it was the US pushing NATO east since 1991..

"Europe" as always very divided-may be seen as a much smaller risk.
