Russia’s deputy foreign minister has warned the United States that any military attack on Iran’s nuclear sites would have “catastrophic” consequences for the entire region.

Sergei Ryabkov made the remarks during an interview with the International Affairs journal on Tuesday, after US President Donald Trump threatened to bomb Iran if it fails to come to an agreement with Washington over its nuclear program.

“Threats are indeed being heard, ultimatums are also being heard,” Ryabkov said, noting that “The consequences of this, especially if the strikes are on nuclear infrastructure, could be catastrophic for the entire region.”

He said Trump’s latest comments will only increase tensions and “complicate the situation” regarding Iran.

“We consider such methods inappropriate, we condemn them. We consider them a way for (the US) to impose its own will on the Iranian side,” he added.

Putin in uniform, Khamenei with a gun.....it is almost like . . . .   no, it actually is . . .  writing on the wall.

TODAY:

Israel Channel 14 TV: A large-scale attack on Iran will begin soon, described as the most unprecedented since World War II.

PREPARE!

Prepare yourselves. Emergency food, water, medicines you need to live on.  Flashlights for each family member or each room in your house. Spare batteries for each flashlight. A way to cook food without electric or city-supplied gas (i.e. propane gas grill or charcoal frill with lots of extra charcoal and lighter fluid). A generator, to keep minimal electricity in your house (refrigerator, heat, light).  Fuel for that generator.  Communications gear (CB or HAM radio), walkie talkies for family members.  Guns, ammunition.  Small transistor radio for news and information, with spare batteries for it, too.  A first-aid kit for injuries our wounds.

All these things taking place around the world are pointing irrefutably to coming World War.  BE PREPARED as best you can.  Your life, and the lives of your family, may depend upon it.

There’s never been more strategic air power outside the United States post Cold War, that I am aware of.
You’re absolutely right, this level of firepower concentrated outside the U.S. is unprecedented since the Cold War. Even during the 2003 invasion of Iraq while there was a massive deployment of forces it wasn’t this lopsided in terms of strategic air power.

What’s happening now is crazy. This is a rapid buildup of high end, precision strike capabilities; B-1s, B-52s, F-22s, F-35s, aircraft carriers, and now a surge of cargo planes moving supplies across multiple theaters. This kind of force projection isn’t about protracted ground war. This is about achieving air dominance and rapid destruction of high value targets with minimal if not no boots on the ground.

Even the buildup prior to Desert Storm in 1991 doesn’t compare to this, at least not in terms of raw aerial firepower positioned so quickly and so strategically. Back then, we had months to move everything into place. This is happening in weeks.

The only other comparison that even comes close might be the nuclear readiness posture during the Cuban Missile Crisis, but even that was a Cold War standoff, not an active lead up to a possible kinetic conflict like this.

If this is just about Iran’s nuclear facilities, the firepower is overkill. But if it’s about preparing for a wider regional war or deterring multiple adversaries (Iran, Hezbollah, Houthis, and maybe even Russia or China trying to take advantage), then this level of force projection makes sense.

👉 It's unnerving because this isn’t just a show of force, it’s preparation for something that could spiral well beyond a limited strike.

DJ...Iran could decide NOT to wait for an attack. Certainly if other BRICS+ partners think war no longer can be avoided. Russia, China, Pakistan very likely even Türkiye may be on the side of Iran...

USrael/US/UK keep bombing Yemen, Lebanon, Gaza, SW Syria...UKraine war seems to see lots of US/German weapons moving in via Romania...

Still...I do hope talks may prevent a major escalation...
