   Looking at US history the US did see a "dark decade" between november 1963-murder of JFK and august 1974 Nixon stepping down because of Watergate...In that time JFK, MLK, RFK a.o. got murdered. Vietnam war protests faced US national guards-shooting at protestors...race riots...

So...is the trump era an exception ? Or are -in US history- dark times switching for "better"times the normal...

I do not doubt führer trumpf is damaging the US in his anti-science insanity...in history a lot of empires ended in self destruction. 

The anti-vax "movement" is a form of "pandemic selection"/learning "the hard way"...Tariffs and wars can not replace investments in infrastructure, housing, healthcare and education...
