Measles can cause pneumonia and encephalitis, which can be fatal. Pneumonia occurs in 6% of measles cases and is the most common cause of death. Neurologic infection is rare, occurring in only 1 out of 1000 measles cases, but with a much higher risk of permanent harm including death.

DJ...measles does NOT rule out CoViD and/or flu or any other disease...worsening the picture...
Most people survive measles, though in some cases, complications may occur. About 1 in 4 individuals will be hospitalized and 1–2 in 1,000 will die. Complications are more likely in children under age 5 and adults over age 20.

Measles is a highly contagious disease caused by a virus. It spreads easily when an infected person breathes, coughs or sneezes. It can cause severe disease, complications, and even death.14 nov 2024
DJ, excess deaths may start including some extra deaths linked to measles...R0 is 12 to 18..Another question is will vaccinated people-after CoViD immunity damage-see an increase risk of measles ?
