Why Is Greenland Part Of Denmark?
A few comments;
As a Dane I 100% think that the native people living in Greenland should decide if they want to stay with Denmark or become independant - or even a state in US if that is what they want . But just for info; Denmark has been in total paying the equivalent of approx 15.000 USD per every citizen in Greenland every year for many years, to help with education and health system and many other social issues there. This has however also not helped the natives to form their own sustainable society, so many native blames Denmark for helping and interfering. Denmark for sure have not always behaved correctly looking with today glasses, during history when it comes to the natives, but we have always supported and tried carefully, especially the last 2-3 decades to protect the old culture of the natives in Greenland. I hope the natives at least can admit that Denmark never plundered Greenland like many others when they had colonised countries. We never tried to just take any natural resources for our own benefit. I am sure in a deal with the US, there will be a hunt for natural resources, and if that is what the natives want, then this is their decision 100%. I wish everyone in Greenland and bright future.

Canada and Denmark did have the best war over a small island between Greenland and Canada's artic. They both laid clam to the island and how they waged war was the most epic way possible. Once a year they would send a navy ship to the island and change each others flag so they would fly there flag for 6 months each. Then leave a case of there favorite national high proof alcohol so it would freeze for the other country when the came to change there flag. They have been feuding and fighting like this since 1973. If you don't count hangovers there injuries in the Whisky War. Russia invasion of Ukraine meant that any land disputes with NATO countries meant they had to straighten up and act wright. So the drew a line down the middle of Hans island in 2022 and ended the Whisky War.
