DJ, I must admit I am shocked by the stupidity US führer trump is demonstrating...A pull back from climate deals, WHO etc may not be surprising...Stopping the CDC, NIH, science doing their job is a level of insanity I did not expect...
Here in NL the fascist government "freedom parties (pvv-vvd=pvvd) " may go for claiming eXtinction Rebellion as a terrorist organization. Legal battles on climate-and the NL government ignoring European rules-may end up ignored... We may end up with a Dutch "government" breaking the law/court rulings to keep fossil fuel/car industry, big agriculture going... DJ-I would love to believe in a "democratic west"...to only see a shift towards "democrazy"... Living with climate collapse, pandemics is like staying in a house on fire...But it seems to be a "new normal" promoted by western "media" like bbc, cnn, nos... Putting billions into Artificial Intelligence may end up creating a "big brother watching you" totalitarian "democrazy"...(totalitarianism and deemocracy do NOT mix !). So will they go for 80 seconds or 60 seconds to midnight ? DJ-I like to balance views...
