Global non-nuclear wars may take time to kill millions. Planned genocides a.o. on Palestinians, Kurds may take less time-organized mass murder kills faster...certainly when NATO, USrael, Türkiye 'do their best"....
We do see an increase of floods, earthquakes and following health crises killing "tens-of-thousends"-we will see several of these events. However the total deaths of "natural disasters" may stay under 1 million. So -if 2025 has to become a turning point in human population growth- it may have to come from pandemics. (Chances for nuclear war, asteroide hitting Earth, may see all of us gone...). Can we contain diseases ? Yes-one problem is we do not contain them... Another problem may be "we miss" a lot of info/science. Are cancers virus related ? How much (long) CoViD cases will see hearth/brain problems killing humans ? So how much "killing damage" is allready spreading a.o. via CoViD, obesity ? https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/excess-mortality-p-scores-average-baseline?country=USA~GBR~NLD~DEU~FRA~JPN~RUS~BRA or https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/excess-mortality-p-scores-average-baseline?country=USA~GBR~NLD~DEU~FRA~JPN~RUS~BRA DJ-Only a few countries may see excess deaths under the long term average. Most Spanish Flu deaths https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_flu#Mortality or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_flu#Mortality in Europe were in 18 months 1918-1920. However other parts of the globe may have seen higher number of deaths later on... A global multi-disease pandemic in 2025 will very likely spread high speed. H5N1 is most linked to wild birds...wild mammals also out of human control. Global travel, limited vaccines, not using masks/PPE do further increase risk. DJ-Chances of 2025 bringing a global major healthcrisis killing 1%+ of the global population (GP)(82 million people) are present-very likely still limited. Chances of wars killing !% of GP is smaller-however so far we have NEVER been this close to nuclear war in human history... Earthquakes, extreme storms, floodings COMBINED are -so far- not likely to kill over 1% GP.
