Military Summary keeps mentioning Russian airstrikes destroying UKraine airfields and aircraft...So-the west may decide to send in F16's...Russia made clear it will finish those F16's...

Russia also contacted Saudi Arabia on hypersonic missiles for Yemen-Houthi's...They will use those weapons against western shipping in the West Indian Ocean-Red Sea and eastern Mediterranean Sea...Also a.o. Eilat was hit...

DJ-Both UKraine and USrael are destroyed...unsafe. So the economies are collapsing...UKraine only gets energy from a few nuclear power plants and import from the EU...A pipeline transporting gas from Russia to some EU countries provides a bit of income for UKraine...

Very likely even grain export may be difficult-UKraine trains need electricity...The EU imposed import limits to UKraine agriculture export...EU farmers do no longer want to see their income reduced because of UKraine export...

In the UK less than 55% of the voters went voting..."New Labour" may be willing to invest more in the NHS...healthcare..Even "reposition itself" on the EU...

DJ-The EU should think twice on allowing the UK to rejoin...You want to join a club or not...The EU already has a lot of problematic members...In my opinion it was "unwise" to expand the EU with Eastern European countries this fast without a good strategy...

Just like with the Euro/€ expansion seems to be a goal on its own...Discussions on "how to make it work" are not welcome(d)...

August 19-22 in Chicago the US democrats will elect their presidential candidate...DJ-It will very likely NOT be biden !

Both the US and UK have -in fact- a two party system with election districts...France also has a district system...Here in NL in parliament elections candidates-from often 20+ parties- more or less run all over the country...It may result in better representation...

However here in NL we now have a "problematic" "most right wing" government since 1945...I trust they will make such a mess of it "democracy will correct itself"...

Support for more war(s) in both Europe and North America is dropping...costs of both the health and climate crises are exploding...So priorities shift...
