LAS VEGAS: Tesla Cybertruck explosion outside Trump hotel is being investigated as a possible act of terror.

and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2025_New_Orleans_truck_attack or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2025_New_Orleans_truck_attack ;An Islamic State (IS) flag was found on the back of the truck. The FBI is investigating the attack as an act of terrorism.[6]

DJ, The US needs an excuse to "increase its fight against IS" while fighting BRICS+ in West Asia...

Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi provided the information to reporters on Wednesday, saying the dialog would resume in the Swiss city of Geneva on January 13.

DJ, trump will become "leader of the US" a week later...it was also trump who ended the Iran-deal -because Obama made that deal...

DJ-US gap with EU, UK is growing...

https://southfront.press/foreign-mercenaries-continue-to-die-in-ukraine-6-5-thousand-dead/  or https://southfront.press/foreign-mercenaries-continue-to-die-in-ukraine-6-5-thousand-dead/ ;

Since the beginning of the Ukrainian-Russian armed conflict, about 6.5 thousand of the 15 thousand foreign mercenaries who arrived in Ukraine have been killed. This was reported by Yulia Zhdanova, acting head of the Russian delegation at the Vienna talks on military security and arms control.

Among them are mercenaries from 110 countries, the largest contingent of which were servicemen from Poland (2,960), the United States (1,113), Georgia (1,042), Canada (1,005) and the United Kingdom (822).

Earlier, on March 14, 2024, Sergey Shoigu, who at that time was the Russian Defense Minister, announced the statistics of 5962 eliminated mercenaries of the AFU. At that time, such losses were explained by the fact that foreign mercenaries died en masse from missile strikes. According to various estimates, 50 to 180 mercenaries lost their lives in the strike on the Yavoriv training range (Lviv region) alone. A strike on their location in Kramatorsk in 2023 also led to mass casualties of mercenaries.

According to the updated information, the Russian Armed Forces have liquidated about 600 mercenaries in the last 9 months. More than 200 of them have been liquidated in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation since the beginning of November 2024, including citizens of Poland, Estonia, the USA, Germany and the UK. The fighters died en masse during attempts to escape the encirclement of the Russian army and counterattack in order to provide a corridor for evacuation.

Unfortunately, information on the identities of the foreign mercenaries who died is mostly unreported or reported with sufficient delay.

Thus, the identities of some of the dead mercenaries whose bodies were found on the territory of the Russian Federation have recently been confirmed.

DJ, the real number of western fighters killed in UKraine very likely to be a lot higher-but kept out of the news...France did see heavy losses-however part of those losses were in the Foreign Legion and may have been Ukraine fighters...

https://www.voxweb.nl/nieuws/militair-chirurg-vincent-stirler-redt-armen-en-benen-van-oekraiense-oorlogsgewonden or https://www.voxweb.nl/nieuws/militair-chirurg-vincent-stirler-redt-armen-en-benen-van-oekraiense-oorlogsgewonden

Google translate does a good job. Story on how western hospitals deal with UKraine military...
-
Russia no longer allowed to transport gas via UKraine means UKraine now has to import gas-part of it from the US...4x the price they had to pay Russia.  Hungary, Slovakia stopped transporting electricity to UKraine...

Moldova no longer gets gas from Russia-via UKraine. Transnistria-Russian enclave between Ukraine and Moldova no longer provides electricity to Moldova...

The EU story is there are enough gas reserves to last all winter...however after the German elections-february 23-the story may change.

New EU rules may decrease Qatar supply of gas to the EU...in many ways Russia did become the most important indirect energy provider to the west...Saudi Arabia a.o. buying Russian energy for domestic usage-exporting Saudi oil and gas at higher prices...Türkiye, India became major energy hubs...exporting oil/gas products made of Russian import.

For the west energy prices will only increase. US energy production (fracking) may have peaked...LNG capacity for export is limited...

Russia can choose who to sell to...for now China and India are the fastest growing markets. More pipelines are on their way...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krieg_dem_Kriege or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krieg_dem_Kriege ; Krieg dem Kriege! Guerre à la Guerre! War against War! Oorlog aan den Oorlog! is a book by Ernst Friedrich, published for the first time in 1924. It examines the human cost of the First World War and shows the true face of war (injuries, mutilations, executions, suffering, misery and death).[1] The original version written in four languages (German, French, English, Dutch) has since been translated into 50+ languages.

DJ, It is so sad to see mistakes, crimes again "a new normal"....

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_Is_a_Racket  or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_Is_a_Racket ;

War Is a Racket is a speech and a 1935 short book by Smedley D. Butler, a retired United States Marine Corps major general and two-time Medal of Honor recipient.[2][3] Based on his career military experience, Butler discusses how business interests commercially benefit from warfare. He had been appointed commanding officer of the Gendarmerie during the 1915–1934 United States occupation of Haiti.

After Butler retired from the US Marine Corps in October 1931, he made a nationwide tour in the early 1930s giving his speech "War Is a Racket". The speech was so well received that he wrote a longer version as a short book published in 1935. His work was condensed in Reader's Digest as a book supplement, which helped popularize his message. In an introduction to the Reader's Digest version, Lowell Thomas, who wrote Butler's oral autobiography, praised Butler's "moral as well as physical courage".[4]

DJ, I am born in Arnhem-a city destroyed by war in 44/45....My parents-with 200,000 others-had to flee, suffer, hardly survived...then to rebuild...

A few terrible people got very rich by creating that war...selling weapons to all sides for max profit.

Looking at history nazism started in a colonial age...most colonial powers had "citizens and subjects"...the "primitive natives" as sub-human...It was NOT a nazi invention...more a "religious" one...non-believers had no soul and so were nothing more then animals...

NATO started in 1949, USrael was created in 1948-post colonial wars...with a view on humans not that different from nazism...both anti-communist...

NATO is defending "white power" and neo-colonialism...

Just my view-I am not neutral.

Reactions welcomed !

German, French foreign ministers visit Damascus...the west believing Syria can take back millions of refugees...western companies can invest/steal Syrian resources...

DJ-Türkiye is in fact in control over a major part of Syria. As always with Erdogan playing double games-going for what Erdogan does see as Turkish interests...

SyriaLiveMap;

Israeli aircraft launch raids on the western countryside of Damascus in the Tal al-Shahm area, Syria
-
Strong explosions rock western Damascus countryside amid reports of Israeli shelling targeting military hill
-
Syria: ongoing Israeli airstrikes in Aleppo province. Explosions coming from Safira (Defense factories or Scientific Complex likely targeted)
-
Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said the continued presence of US forces in Syria is impossible. Khamenei spoke at a ceremony marking the fifth anniversary of the killing of Qassem Soleimani
-
Syrian Observatory: 24 killed in battles between Turkish-backed armed factions and Syrian Democratic Forces in Manbij

DJ, NATO "bombing IS" (as long as IS does not follow US orders). Syria is bankrupt, destroyed and unable to take in millions of refugees...

🌍🎞 Middle East Escalation: Key Events (December 27 - January 2, 2024) • Yemen-Israel Attacks: Ansar Allah launched ballistic missiles targeting Tel Aviv and Ben Gurion Airport. Israeli air defenses, including the U.S.-made THAAD system, intercepted the rockets. Another rocket aimed at Nevatim Airbase was intercepted by the Israeli Air Force over the Red Sea. • Drone Incident: Ansar Allah claimed a drone attack on the Santa Ursula in the Arabian Sea near Socotra. Details remain unclear, as no attack has been confirmed by monitoring services. • US Drone Losses: Ansar Allah militants shot down another U.S. Air Force MQ-9 drone over Yemen’s al-Baida province, bringing the total to 13 since the escalation began, with an estimated loss of $400 million. • Coalition Strikes in Yemen: U.S.-British coalition forces launched missile strikes on Sana’a and Taiz, targeting Ansar Allah sites linked to attacks on Israel. • Syria Conflict: Fighting persisted near the Tishrin Dam, with the SDF holding off Turkish-backed SNA militants. Turkish forces reinforced positions near Suruj, deploying artillery near the city. • Arrests in Syria: Arrests of ex-servicemen and those suspected of ties to the former regime intensified in Latakia, Homs, and Tartus, areas with significant Alawite and Lebanese Shiite populations. • Tensions at Hmeimim Base: Militants staged provocations near the Russian-controlled airbase, filming at checkpoints and restricting access to Syrians cooperating with Russia.

Europe's dependence on Turkey's TurkStream, operational since January 2020, for Russian gas has increased after the gas flow through Ukraine was disrupted due to the ongoing conflict. This situation has elevated the importance of the TurkStream pipeline, a critical conduit for Russian natural gas to Europe and a more reliable and politically less volatile option for European gas imports. Turkey's strategic position as a transit hub has strengthened its geopolitical and energy leverage over Europe. European nations relying on TurkStream include Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary, and others in Southeastern Europe. The EU also imports liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the US and Qatar, developing renewable energy sources and increasing imports from Norway, Algeria, and Azerbaijan.
DJ, Türkiye its international position did get stronger...my view; because Russia and Iran allow it/benefit from it...

part 3,

A few weeks ago Erdogan claimed only two world leaders remained, Putin and Erdogan...
DJ-Turkiye wants/needs good relations with Iran, China...but they go for regional agenda's ?

The west claiming "we won in Syria"-but what did they win ? USrael is allowed to increase presence in SW Syria...for now.

< aria-expanded="false" aria-haspopup="menu" aria-label="More" role="" ="-175oi2r r-1777fci r-bt1l66 r-bztko3 r-lrvibr r-1loqt21 r-1ny4l3l" -testid="caret" ="" style="text-align: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-family: inherit; align-items: stretch; border-width: 0px; border-style: solid; border-color: black; display: flex; flex-basis: auto; flex-direction: column; flex-shrink: 0; list-style: none; margin: 0px; min-height: 20px; min-width: 0px; padding: 0px; : relative; : 0; overflow: ; justify-: center; cursor: pointer; outline-style: none; user-: none;">
Independent and democratic Lebanon finds itself in a state of limbo, awaiting the United States and Saudi Arabia to decide on the identity of the new president that its parliament should elect, hoping they choose before the 9th of January.

DJ, The ceasefire between Hezbollah and USrael "becoming weaker" will end within a few weeks. The western idea is that a landbridge between Iran/Iraq and Hezbollah is "over" so Hezbollah will no longer be able to fight a long conflict...

-USrael also has very major military problems. Wars in Gaza, uncertain position in Syria...so restarting a war in Lebanon may "not be the best idea"...

-Yemen Houthis were supposed to be very isolated...still able to get lots of weapons in over a decade of war (against the west).

-Türkiye may want Lebanon for themselves...if Iran/Russia can help with that it will be welcomed...
-------
In UKraine NATO backed proxy UKraine army may go for another offensive within a week. Very likely the ZNPP (Zaporizja Nuclear Power Plant) may be the goal...

The "best/last" UKraine forces going for Kursk/ZNPP...with less forces in the east of UKraine=Russia gaining ground even faster...
-
After World War Two Romania lost Moldova to the USSR...After the USSR Moldova lost Transnistria to a Russian minority...

Romanian nationalists may try to make a deal with Russia on "new borders" ? (In 1956 Snake Island a.o. went from Romania to Ukraine S.S.R. /USSR).

SE Europe may not be very pleased with the outcome of becoming NATO/EU member...

So...if Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria leave NATO/EU-work with a.o. Serbia and go for BRICS+ trade...would Russia be willing to "offer" Transnistria ?

In such a move UKraine may find only a Polish link to the EU/NATO...

DJ-German elections may underline former East Germany still is NOT integrated in Germany...

Many Western supremacists are still working their way through the stages of grief as China surpasses them in what they view as a "clash of civilizations." China is bigger, with a larger population than the G7 combined, it has invested in education and infrastructure that ensures it will irreversibly surpass the collective West short of the West burning the whole planet to the ground to stop it (which is the West's plan). China has not waged a single war this 21st century and has demonstrated globally it prefers working with rather than dominating others. Unless Westerners were somehow inherently superior to Chinese people (which they aren't except in their own imaginations), even if all other factors like infrastructure and education were equal, the fact China has more people alone makes surpassing the West inevitable. The fact China is building an advantage in education, industry, infrastructure, and work ethic ensures this happens even faster. It is irrational to believe otherwise, and insane to organize your life around preserving non-existent superiority you never actually possessed in the first place. The West's primacy was a historical anomaly, not "proof" of its inherent superiority. It is time for many in the West to wake up from this dream of Western superiority, a dream many outside the West would describe more accurately as a nightmare. It is time for delusional Westerners to accept working alongside the rest of the world, including China, rather than obsessing with the need to stand above them all.

DJ, Is the US preventing the arrest of the former South Korean president after the failed coup ?

The big picture isthe west is decreasing its global role and military (relative) strength...Western "proxies" accepting western weapons and bribes...often that corrupt this "help" is weakening the west...

Türkiye, India, Brazil may not have a "clear BRICS+ agenda" however certainly do not -for now- working with "the west" is in their interest...
