In the UK parliament investigated CoViD policies...

I wrote about Baroness Hallett's Inquiry Module 1 report for .
She found that there was *never* a plan to keep a pandemic death toll down - I discuss this and what it means going foward.
Main points below: 1/14 DJ (follow the above link). The US-UK-NL were the "three best prepared countries for a pandemic" in 2019...all three did/do terribly... < aria-expanded="false" aria-haspopup="menu" aria-label="More" role="" ="-175oi2r r-1777fci r-bt1l66 r-bztko3 r-lrvibr r-1loqt21 r-1ny4l3l" -testid="caret" ="" style="text-align: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-family: inherit; align-items: stretch; border-width: 0px; border-style: solid; border-color: black; display: flex; flex-basis: auto; flex-direction: column; flex-shrink: 0; list-style: none; margin: 0px; min-height: 20px; min-width: 0px; padding: 0px; : relative; : 0; overflow: ; justify-: center; cursor: pointer; outline-style: none; user-: none;"> The issue is less the wrong disease, but that there was never a plan to prevent one at all – of any disease type.
The plan was *never* about reducing the number of pandemic deaths. 3/14 - Baroness Hallett spelt it out explicitly. Under the existing flu plan, up to 835,000 deaths were considered *possible* - more than 3x the number the who have died from Covid so far (!).
More to the point - this number was considered *acceptable*. 4/14 - < aria-expanded="false" aria-haspopup="menu" aria-label="More" role="" ="-175oi2r r-1777fci r-bt1l66 r-bztko3 r-lrvibr r-1loqt21 r-1ny4l3l" -testid="caret" ="" style="text-align: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-family: inherit; align-items: stretch; border-width: 0px; border-style: solid; border-color: black; display: flex; flex-basis: auto; flex-direction: column; flex-shrink: 0; list-style: none; margin: 0px; min-height: 20px; min-width: 0px; padding: 0px; : relative; : 0; overflow: ; justify-: center; cursor: pointer; outline-style: none; user-: none;"> Of course when reality hit, this plan crumbled. 100,000s of deaths were NOT acceptable after all.
But our lack of planning meant that these crucial policies on isolation, education, key workers, furlough etc were made on the hoof. And vulnerable populations were harmed. 8/14 DJ, There is NO plan-in 2020 or 2024 to deal with any pandemic...Keep profits going is the ONLY concern...in most of "the west"... So forget about containing H5N1, "we have to live" with a global 500 million/1 billion Long CoViD cases and other pandemics...just like "accept climate collapse"... < aria-expanded="false" aria-haspopup="menu" aria-label="More" role="" ="-175oi2r r-1777fci r-bt1l66 r-bztko3 r-lrvibr r-1loqt21 r-1ny4l3l" -testid="caret" ="" style="text-align: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-family: inherit; align-items: stretch; border-width: 0px; border-style: solid; border-color: black; display: flex; flex-basis: auto; flex-direction: column; flex-shrink: 0; list-style: none; margin: 0px; min-height: 20px; min-width: 0px; padding: 0px; : relative; : 0; overflow: ; justify-: center; cursor: pointer; outline-style: none; user-: none;"> Every #COVID infection is a risk for the brain because:
1- Ace2 receptor (entry receptor for SARS-Cov-2 in cells) is highly expressed in all blood vessels, including cerebral ones.
2- The virus arriving in the brain will cause a mess. Even if you don't look at infected cells, check the outcome of a viral infection. It is always neuroinflammation.
The images below show the hippocampal region (memory and cognition) with and without SARS-Cov-2. The staining is for glia cells (microgliaastrocytes) and neurons (). There is no staining for the virus in the image, but you can see where a large blood vessel arrived and the damage it caused to surrounding neurons.
#CovidIsNotOver
#NotjustaFLU So we now see in many countries CoViD levels in sewage very high, lots of cases (over 1% of the population has CoViD in many countries -NL 1-in-80)...Hospital cases very likely increasing, long term sick leave increasing... And "politics" go for profit and war...Age of insanity !

(PHS data & charts) DJ, most countries did see very high viralload in wastewater in the last weeks of 2023. Still in most places CoViD cases in humans were limited...could CoViD-virus-parts in wastewater be influenced by non-human CoViD cases ??? Sometimes data end up delayed in statistics-so it may look as if cases go down...

The mutations could alter the virus's effects on people. The team also identified two mice on the same day with the same variant, indicating that one mouse infected the other or that they both were infected by the same person. Further supporting human-to-animal viral spread was the finding of the highest SARS-CoV-2 antibody seroprevalence near hiking trails and other public areas. Some opossums, raccoons, Eastern gray squirrels, white-footed mice, and deer mice had SARS-CoV-2 antibodies. Transmission could have taken place via wastewater, trash bins, or discarded food. There was no evidence of animal-to-human transmission. "The virus can jump from humans to wildlife when we are in contact with them, like a hitchhiker switching rides to a new, more suitable host," co-senior author Carla Finkielstein, PhD, said in a Virginia Tech press release. "The virus aims to infect more humans, but vaccinations protect many humans. So, the virus turns to animals, adapting and mutating to thrive in the new hosts." SARS-CoV-2 infections have been previously identified in wildlife such as white-tailed deer and mink. "The virus is indifferent to whether its host walks on two legs or four," Finkielstein said. The study team called for more research into how SARS-CoV-2 spreads from people to wildlife, within species, and from one species to another. DJ, "no proof" it jumped back to humans does NOT mean it did not go human-mammal-human...with lots of possible high risk mutations... |

Immunization of the primary contact hamsters with a mucosal chimpanzee adenoviral-vectored vaccine (ChAd-CoV-2-S), but not intramuscular messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccine, reduced infectious virus titers ~100-fold and 100,000-fold in the upper and lower respiratory tract of the primary contact hamster following SARS-CoV-2 exposure. This reduction in virus titer in the mucosal immunized contact animals was sufficient to eliminate subsequent transmission to vaccinated and unvaccinated hamsters. In contrast, sequential transmission occurred after systemic immunization with the mRNA vaccine. DJ, Quite a lot of people-for now-give up hope on "politics doing anything of use" in pandemics, climate or ending wars...

The fact that we are still in a worsening global healthcrisis that could have been prevented is shocking ! Genocide by pandemics to get rid of the "old and weak" is as stupid as it is criminal ! DJ, It is welcome there is more focus on Mpox...however "the bigger picture" -including flu- is we are in a global health crisis (of unseen proportion)...

http://9News.com DJ, lots of countries expect an increase of diseases when schools reopen...Migratory birds this fall may bring more types of flu that may see more chances to spread into humans... So we are in a mega-mix of diseases with underlying a decrease of immunity protection because of CoViD damage... The global healthcrisis is very closely linked with climate collapse...Excess deaths may become "extreme" ...only resulting in denialism getting more extreme...

By pretending it’s just an inconvenience like a cold that can be ignored will have long term implications. DJ, all humans make mistakes now and then...nobody is perfect...However "making wrong choices" again and again is "bad policy"... Vaccines-for now- do NOT stop CoViD. Non-sterilizing vaccines are supposed to limit disease...And in general-my non expert view- CoViD vaccines did limit disease.... However vaccines did not end the pandemic ! And -even vaccinated-catching CoViD over and over again does damage... Estimates go from 1-in-10 to 1-in-20 CoViD cases resulting in Long CoViD.... Since we have been in this CoViD crisis "only" 3 to 4 years (it started limited in 2019, major global waves only started in 2020) longer term damage has to show up.... Statistics indicate increase of excess deaths in many places from all kinds of health issues...At least part of those deaths will be indirect CoViD deaths.... Nature https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-024-03173-6 or https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-024-03173-6 ;The cumulative global incidence of long COVID is around 400 million individuals, which is estimated to have an annual economic impact of approximately $1 trillion—equivalent to about 1% of the global economy. DJ and we are NOT stopping CoViD..... At a certain point a "mistake" becomes "evil"...."Saving the economy/profits" at the costs of maybe up to 40 million CoViD deaths a form of genocide.... Wasting trillions on wars, defunding healthcare is criminal..... ----- DJ-For now it is not that clear what role immunity damage after CoViD infection plays in an increase of H5N1, Mpox etc. in humans.... Climate collapse-also NOT stopped- (and also a form of genocide killing millions) also worsens pandemics.... We need politics/"leaders" to work for humanity...not for "their donors only"....and time is running out !
